Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to lead and modernize our Maine title team. This hands-on leadership role is responsible for driving team performance, enhancing customer experiences, improving operational efficiency, and supporting the adoption of new technology across the operation. 

This person should be an effective problem solver with a strong customer service mindset. They will lead by example, address customer concerns with professionalism, and help the team build and maintain strong client relationships. We are looking for a candidate with hands-on real estate title experience, proven leadership abilities, and the confidence to drive change when needed. The ideal candidate will identify opportunities to improve workflows, elevate team performance, and ensure needs are handled with urgency and care. 

Key Responsibilities

Lead, support, and develop a team of title professionals across both onsite and remote environments.  

  • Foster and establish clear performance expectations, maintain accountability, and support team members through evolving processes, systems, and organizational initiatives. 
  • Partner with senior management to drive operational initiatives and ensure successful compliance. 
  • Oversee daily operations and proactively manage team workloads to ensure timely and accurate file processing while continuously assessing team capacity. 
  • Lead by example in addressing customer and operational issues with professionalism, urgency, and a solutions-oriented, relationship-focused approach. 
  • Assume responsibility for processing files as volume and business needs require. 
  • Respond effectively to escalated customer issues, balancing operational resolution with a positive customer experience. 
  • Provide hands-on coaching and mentoring to team members, focusing on technical development, process adherence, customer communication, and effective problem-solving. 

Qualifications

  • Experience in a real estate title insurance environment, including purchase and refinance transactions. 
  • Proven experience successfully managing and leading onsite, remote, and hybrid teams. 
  • Strong commitment to customer service, with the ability to coach teams through challenges while preserving client relationships. 
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement, change management, and operational initiatives. 
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to resolve operational and client-related issues 
  • Self-motivated with a proactive mindset focused on continuous improvement and measurable results. 
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills. 
  • Experience with Qualia is preferred.
